Bulimia nervosa, also known as simply bulimia, is an eating disorder characterized by binge eating followed by purging. Binge eating refers to eating a large amount of food in a short amount of time. Purging refers to the attempts to get rid of the food consumed. This may be done by vomiting or taking laxatives.
Sabrina Abdullah had Bulimia. Growing up had been difficult in an appearance-conscious society, where woman and man too, are pushed to edge with what is acceptable as having the perfect body. In the story of Half An Apple, we see the struggles of a young teenager with bulimia, into adulthood.. Will she survive? Will death be her own doing or will an intervention shake her up from her struggle with Bulimia, will she be happy?
